Finding the Best Burger in Dallas: Round 3
The Dallas Burger Bracket rolls on, and this week, Harvey B’s and Blues Burgers took the stage. In our quest to crown the best burger in Dallas, our panel of judges assessed these contenders across the same three key categories: Taste, Ingredients, and Appearance. Both joints have their unique charm and loyal followings, but only one could advance.
Harvey B’s: A Strong Contender
Harvey B’s is a beloved spot in Dallas, known for its straightforward, classic approach to burgers. Our judges had high expectations, and the scores reflected a consistent and solid performance.
Harvey B’s Total Average Scores:
Taste: 4.21/5
Ingredients: 3.86/5
Appearance: 3.85/5
Total: 3.97/5
The judges praised Harvey B’s for its well-balanced flavors. Two of our judges awarded perfect scores for both taste and ingredient quality, while others found the burgers to be flavorful, but noted a slight inconsistency in ingredient quality. When it came to appearance, Harvey B’s scored consistently high marks.
Blues Burgers: The Underdog
Blues Burgers has its own cult following in Dallas, but this matchup revealed a tougher battle for them when compared to Harvey B’s. While they put up a good fight, the scores showed room for improvement.
Blues Burgers Total Average Scores:
Taste: 2.64/5
Ingredients: 2.93/5
Appearance: 3.43/5
Total: 3.0/5
Blues Burgers struggled particularly in the taste department, earning mixed reviews. Judges felt the burger lacked the boldness and depth needed to stand out. Ingredient quality was another point of contention. One judge appreciated the freshness of the toppings and awarded a solid 4, but other judges felt the components didn’t stand out as much as they should have, dragging down the average. Blues Burgers’ highest scores came in the appearance category. Still, it wasn’t enough to catch up to Harvey B’s overall score.
And the Winner Is… Harvey B’s!
With higher scores across all three categories, Harvey B’s advances to the next round.
